This element is really difficult for people to understand. And I know exactly how they think! When I was told this, I rejected it. Why would I want to do this to myself? It did not make sense.
But at the end of the day regardless of how much I tried to ignore that truth, it was accurate, my thoughts where the foundation of my anxiety. I experimented with it. The more I focused my energy on the worry the stronger my nervousness attack became. So with the assistance of a therapist, I was able to work on my thoughts and defeat my nervousness.
It would be a lie to say I am nervousness free, however I'm a lot more able to deal with anxiety, I have more coping strategies. Dealing with anxiety is now much simpler for me.
Another to bear in mind, is that nervousness may be unpleasant, but it is not always a difficult thing. This nervousness can help up be alert, the adrenalin can keep us focused.
